Once an advisor is officially chosen, the student will work with the advisor to form the student’s GRC and create a Plan of Study. The Plan of Study must be submitted to the department before the end of the second semester in residence.
- Committee members may be chosen from the Regular, Associate, and Emeritus graduate faculty lists.
- The minimum number of members is four.
- Overall, including the chair or co-chair of the committee, at least three faculty members must be from the Chemistry Graduate faculty list.
- The external committee member must be a graduate faculty at WVU or added as an invited graduate faculty.
