X-Ray Crystallography
The X-ray diffraction facilities in the Bennett Department of Chemistry
feature a Bruker AXS D8 Venture single crystal X-ray diffractometer,
which is equipped with a PHOTON CMOS detector, a Triumph monochromator,
an Oxford Cryostream 700 low temperature attachment for the routine
collection of X-ray diffraction data at 100 K, and a sealed Mo X-ray
source. This instrument, which was installed in December 2013, was
acquired with financial support provided by the National Science
Foundation Major Research Instrumentation program (Grant Award No. CHE -
 1336071).
