Peter A. Reinhardt is the Director of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety at Yale University. Prior to moving to New Haven in 2007, he was the Director of Environment, Health and Safety at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for six years, and worked for 21 years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Safety Department, last serving as their Assistant Director for Chemical & Environmental Safety. Mr. Reinhardt is a member of the American Chemical Society’s Committee on Chemical Safety and the Campus Safety, Health and Environmental Management Associations’ Advocacy Council. He has contributed to several publications, including Environmental Compliance Guide for Colleges and Universities (2002 and 2017), Pollution Prevention and Waste Minimization in Laboratories (1996) and Prudent Practices in the Laboratory (1995 and 2011).
