Abstract: In this talk, a highly sensitive LC-MS/MS and a high throughput online-solid phase extraction method coupled to LC-Orbitrap MS were developed for the targeted and non-targeted analysis of PFAS. The assessment of PFAS levels, composition and trends and the tentative identification of non-traditional monitored PFAS were performed in surface and tap water sources in South Florida. A “naïve” and simple semi-quantitation approach is also proposed based on a global calibration curve to improve the understanding on total PFAS levels in environmental samples, which contributes to improve ecological and health risks assessments associated with PFAS exposure.
