The Chemistry Department and the Bennett Program invite all undergraduate and graduate students to the 2025 C. Eugene Bennett In-House Chemistry Symposium. The event is designed to provide students with an opportunity to present their research, learn from their peers, and connect with experts in a wide range of chemistry fields.Key Dates & Details
Symposium Dates: November 3-7, 2025
Who Can Present:
- Graduate students: Eligible for both oral and poster presentations.
- Undergraduate students: Eligible for poster presentations and a special "Undergrad Hot Topics" session.
Presentation Sections:
- Medicinal Chemistry/Methods
- Biochemistry/Bioanalytical/Synthesis
- Energy/Environment-Sustainability/Chemical Education
Abstract Submission
All students are encouraged to submit an abstract using the abstract submission page.
- The abstract should be a one-page PDF document created using the provided MS Word template.
- Name your file in the format: FIRST_NAME_LAST_NAME.pdf (e.g., JANE_DOE.pdf).
Important Deadlines:
- Oral Presentations (Grad Students Only): The deadline is Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by Friday, October 10, 2025. Abstracts not selected for an oral talk will automatically be considered for a poster presentation.
- Poster Presentations (All Students): The deadline is Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
Poster Board Dimensions: 48" x 73"=4’ x 6’. Please plan your poster accordingly.
