Research interests include energy conversion by electrochemistry in solid oxide fuel cells and solid oxide electrolysis cells, desalination and other treatment processes for wastewater, extraction of critical materials (rare earth elements) from waste and wastewater, high temperature reference electrodes, and electrochemical testing of electrodes for cochlear implants.
